Pretty sure I have a torn labrum in my hip 😭. I think I can pinpoint when it happened (stepped awkwardly carrying a book crate a month or two ago and felt a sharp pain) But now the pain is relatively constant. Seeing the doctor on Monday but man this sucks

One of the best parts of my job is getting to discuss books with my boss and my coworkers. Yesterday my boss and I were both at the desk and it was slow so we talked abt the 📕 I was reading & I asked “Have you ever read, or..attempted to read James Joyce?” She said “attempted is the word” 😂 (cont)

So, 6 month evaluation. I literally had zero library experience when I took this job. Just a BA in history and lots of customer service experience. I am thrilled that this is how my supervisors see me 🥹🖤

My youngest daughter has a former friend who has turned into a bully and my middle daughter knows her. Last night I heard my middle daughter say “Oh she wants to talk to you? Tell her she can talk to your sister. I’LL TALK TO HER” 😂😂

If you’re going to put together an anthology that has long stories in it, don’t put them all at the end. Put a few short ones in there. 25+ page stories don’t belong in an anthology anyway and I’ll die on that hill. Go write a novella

A tip that might help someone: I had to pick up a prescription for my kid today and the text said I owed significantly more than i usually do. I thought my copay went up because why not in 2025 but no. For some reason they used a discount card instead of my insurance. Worth double checking

Never had a part time job that allowed me to earn paid leave before but I currently have 18 hours of annual leave and 22 hours of sick leave after working 6 months. May not seem like a lot, but aside from Saturdays, my shifts are 4-5 hours long. I can already take 3 days of vacation if I wanted to

Book 37 of 2025! This is a Christmas horror anthology that I love so much I bought it after finding it at the library. There's humor, fae, ghosts, murder, and everything in between. It's a festive fright that is helping my grim little heart feel something this season. Highly recommend!
