Time to clear my cache on the video site I never sign onto. Not surprisingly, the algorithm has been pushing right-wing conspiracy theories when I look at pressure canning and foraging.
I asked for rich tech bros in 1920s flapper era-appropriate costume. AI missed the mark, but it made that dude in the background stand out. Maybe AI went for how tech guys wear the armless fleece vests and merged it with a tux.
Remembering all of those fairytale stories where the protagonists have to eat roots and berries. Not knowing as a kid how cultures long ago learned to do that as part of their everyday life. Maybe the stories were written right as they transitioned from hunter-gatherers to hunters and farmers.
I still haven’t donated my books to the library. I may rummage through them to take back the botany encyclopedia. As I watch foraging videos, I should start adding post-its to the ones that are edible.
Now instead of giving him something for her to try, she just buys it unconditionally. She and I have the same taste in food, apparently. She loves everything I’ve given her. She really liked the Indonesian noodles.
Okie Boss jokingly told me I made a monster out of his wife. I’m always sharing my various food finds with people. His wife is especially receptive to all of them. Then she discovered the online Asian place and she can’t get enough.
Bought a water dispenser for my counter. But not water for drinking. I’m using it for hand rinsing. I have to use up my containers of water that I set aside for emergencies; I need to rotate them out. I even numbered each one for each month I’ll use the water.
What doesn’t work: Oatmeal soap. Love that soap, but they don’t last. I bought 16 bars during my buying spree in May. It’s now November, and I’m on my last bar. Back to my gold antibacterial soap, which I also love.
Sadly, I may be out of warranty by now. I can’t remember when I had that replaced. If it happened in 2021, I may be in luck if it was a 5-year warranty.
On the other hand, I may have to get the chain fixed. It’s not always a cold start when it rattles. Even when we had highs in the 90s last week, it would make the sound when I started my car to go home from work.
