So although US shipping was turned back on for 3 days, it's now off again. Hopefully the strike is over before November, otherwise I'll have no choice but to charge the higher tariff cost for my next shop update.

US tariffs are higher if you ship via courier instead of postal. Ex: 55% vs 30% for items made in China. That's a massive difference.

Chit Chats counts as a courier, so the US pricing I spent ages adjusting is all wrong. I usually use Canada Post, but they're on strike.

I disabled US shipping this morning, and it will stay off until the DDP solution is up and running. They're aiming for August 29th, so fingers crossed it all goes well!

‼️Canada Post is working on a DDP solution‼️

It means delivery duties paid – payment for duties up front instead of customers being billed later. This is specific to the US. No word on implementing it internationally yet, but that is great news.
