![📖 "On purpose":
In this world there are things an Alpha can do to ease their ruts. There's medication, toys, and restraining equipment they can use to get them through, what is mostly a week-long-rut fog of breeding instincts.
Problem with Toji is, he's irresponsible. Keeping track? Feeling the signs? Preparing? "Pay me for it" (that's his motto).
So on an unexpected (very much avoidable) rut, he comes home, and before his mind goes blank he catches the glimpse of something by his feet.

Megumi is quite the opposite of Toji. Responsible, quiet and patient. He prepares for his heats like any other normal Omega, but of course this is what he leads people to believe.
Behind closed doors, he keeps secrets hidden away that would cost him his entire life, image, career, you name it.
So what are those secrets?
Maybe...scenting the others bed...
The stolen underwear...
The wet spot he leaves behind on the bed sheets...
The potent pheromones he blames on the neighbor...
And worse of all those secrets is the one where he leaves a trail of slick by the door.
The one where he lets his heat trigger the other's rut.

![Megumi's life is a mess all thanks to Toji's gambling habits and terrible life choices.
At times it feels like he has to keep Toji on a leash, be the parent, the go-getter and bread winner to keep them afloat.
"I'm broke."
As usual. Never changes.
"Want me to lend you some cash?" Sweet summer-child Yuuji. What would we do without you.
"Yes? No. I want more, lots of money actually."
Yuuji looks him dead in the eyes, amused at his words, not surprised though.
"Your dad's gambling again? You know I've got that thing you could do, easy money. You just gotta say the word."
Megumi groans, pauses for a moment considering his next words.
"You know I fucking hate working with Satoru." Pauses. Considers. Whispers., "Is it just handjobs?"
"Depends how much money you wanna do. Handjobs are just the base pay."
He considers it again. Can't be that bad, or hard right? Maybe wouldn't hurt to try it out. Just once.
"Can this stay between us?"
Yuuji smiles big and nods, the idiot. He's honestly an angel, surprising considering his life is a mess too.
"I've got a client tonight. You can take my place if you want, I wanna hang out with Choso anyways."
"Okay, just to try it out."
"Yup, call it a trial."
"One night."
"One night." Yuuji repeats.

Of course Megumi goes beyond one night.
The client keeps coming back, how could he not?
His voice— no, he's liking this a lot. Helps that the guy's dick is hot.
He could do this for a living.
But...Megumi starts noticing the same money spent is the same money earned.
