alright i wrote this years ago but this is so funny and currently relevent

mingyu loved too much. fast and hard. and his hands were shaking as he cooked at home, his boyfriend asking if he was okay with a concerned look on his face as he fed the dog that somehow always managed to have dinner before the two of them.

"seungcheol," mingyu started, setting down the bottle of olive oil and shutting off the stove quickly before leaning against the counter. "you're gay, right?"

he sputtered. "what the hell kind of question is that? did you forget we're dating?"

"didn't forget," mingyu said defensively. "i mean, i'm not gay, so i thought maybe you might not be either."

seungcheol studied him, leaning against the kitchen counter. "what are you getting at?"

this probably wasn't the best time, mingyu thought, but he didn't have much of a choice at this point. "have you ever thought about, y'know-" he gestured fruitlessly as seungcheol waited for him. "y'know, like…"

"spit it out."

"having a girl around?"

seungcheol stared at mingyu for a long moment. "cook."

"yessir," mingyu immediately responded, turning the stove back on to heat the oil he had poured in only minutes before. he wondered if that was the end of the conversation, seeing seungcheol rub his face before announcing he was going to take a quick shower before dinner and disappearing up the stairs.
