the distance
of time. Moments
separated by
expanding ocean
beds. Shorelines
hidden in a misty
fog to a past
I’m incapable
of reliving.
But I’m still filled

Ambient morning
light shines into
the room. The bitter
taste of coffee lingers
on my tongue. Outside
the morning air has
an earthy scent, maybe
it had sprinkled
sometime during
the night. Today, I
took in the #mundane
before rushing into
another arduous day.

I’ve become
too digitized.
My longings have
been copied & pasted
too many times, too
compressed, my dreams
are now pixelated.
I’m suffering from
a lack of imagination.
In desperate need
of some #pixie dust
to sprinkle some
wonder back
into my life.
To dream so vividly
once again.

The sky opened up
& I fell, plunging
into the depths.
Being caught
within the tides
& currents. Holding
my breath until
hopefully I can
breathe once again.
Once the calm
of the #sapphire
blue of the ocean
returns. Somehow,
I survived beneath
the now settled sky.

Life comes in moments
I don’t know if it’s fate
& by design or by complete
accident or circumstance.
I’d given up on destinies,
no point on pursuing
such fantasies. But
chance shall have it
that somehow our lives
should intersect
& I couldn’t be more
happier for this sincere
#happenstance.
