In my opinion, this is one of the reasons the NCAA needs to change course and invite the players to collectively bargain so there can be reasonable limitations on transfers. If your coach leaves, you can leave. And you can have one other free transfer.

Firing people doesn't eliminate the regulations, it only makes it impossible for someone to apply for a permit or get an inspection, which leads to chaos. As the Supreme Court has expressed in the major questions doctrine, only Congress can fundamentally change policy and reduce/add regulations.
