Occasionally I remember that the result of City's 115 (now 130? 131? I forget) charges was due over a year ago.

Enzo will never grow up.

It's also the sort of thing that really should be met with retroactive punishment. There's just no place in football for this kind of nonsense.
I mean look at this prick... Enzo!
No card btw and celebrating kicking and getting away with it. 🤦🏻

November is usually our cursed month, but with four wins and two draws, when was the last time we went unbeaten and when was the last time we could say the month went this well?

Let's have a look.

(Spoiler - we went unbeaten more recently that you might think, but a better Nov is a long way back)

Arsenal PL fixtures to the end of the year:
Brentford (h)
Villa (a)
Wolves (h)
Everton (a)
Palace (h)
Brighton (h)
Villa (h)

So much is always made of the 'big' games, but in reality, it is runs like these that can make your season. You get the same points for beating Wolves as you do Chelsea.

Fair play to Maresca, not even trying to defend the Caicedo challenge.

I do appreciate a manager who admits that a decision that went against them was a fair one.

Sky trying to say this result puts City back in it.

Since the international break:
We've got four points from Spurs and City.
City have three points from Newcastle and Leeds.

City are always a threat, but nothing this week has actually damaged us.

Four games without a clean sheet. Was always going to happen, but the results have still been solid without them.

Today might been the loosest goal we've conceded all season though - most of the others have been credit to the opposition primarily. This one was just poor marking and positioning.
November 30, 2025 at 6:44 PM
I think we have to be glad of this. Chelsea have dropped a lot of points due to this and without it they'd be in a much better position.

Not sure how they get a media-pass for this, or for not being league favourites with the money spent.
Chelsea have a massive discipline problem and it starts with their manager, who cannot keep his temper.

7 reds in 15 Premier League matches for the team. 5 yellows for the manager this season.

Quite how City's game had ten minutes added on and that foul-fest only had four, I'll never know. But we likely wouldn't have taken advantage anyway.
November 30, 2025 at 6:32 PM
November:

Burnley (a) - Won 2-0
Slavia (a) - Won 3-0
Sunderland (a) - Drew 2-2
Spurs (h) - Won 4-1
Bayern (h) - Won 3-1
Chelsea (a) - Drew 1-1

It's November, the month that always kills us, and it had some tough away games alongside two monster home games. You'd have taken that all year long.
November 30, 2025 at 6:31 PM
Probably Chelsea's best performance of the season, probably our worst, and we still didn't lose.

If I were Maresca, I'd be FUMING at Caicedo, because Chelsea probably win that without his red card. They were the better side with 11, and threatening with 10.

But Maresca doesn't have a handle on it.
November 30, 2025 at 6:28 PM
Gyokeres had every right to go for that. Yellow was harsh.
November 30, 2025 at 6:21 PM
At no point has this match looked like 11 v 10.
November 30, 2025 at 6:18 PM
Enzo Fernandez is Richarlison levels of annoying.
November 30, 2025 at 6:14 PM
Really like the subs today. Eze quiet, so Gyokeres comes on. New problem for Chelsea.
November 30, 2025 at 6:05 PM
Merino!!! Take that, Caicedo.

Lovely work from Saka.
November 30, 2025 at 5:51 PM
Odegaard on for a booked Zubimendi is a good move.

Madueke on is a potentially funny move. Go on, lad.
November 30, 2025 at 5:50 PM
MLS, on to prevent us going down to ten, gets a silly yellow.

Chelsea bring on Liam Delap - not quite sure how that'll help their discipline problem.
November 30, 2025 at 5:47 PM
Chelsea look like they're going to park the bus and defend this.

Given how much they were rattling us going forward, I'm not sure that's wise. I think that tactic might suit us.
November 30, 2025 at 5:45 PM
That's not the best defending, let's be honest.

Plenty of time.
November 30, 2025 at 5:41 PM
I'd really like Taylor to just book Reece James for the constant chirping.

It must be annoying him too.
November 30, 2025 at 5:38 PM
MLS for Calafiori at half time. That's one of the yellows, which is good. Zubimendi in particular needs to be smart - wonderful player but he's been booked a few times for tactical fouls and needs to avoid those situations today.
November 30, 2025 at 5:36 PM
Sturridge showing why having club-associated pundits doesn't always work. Says it shouldn't be red because Taylor initially gave yellow, while refusing to answer the question of whether it was a clear error.

It wasn't re-refereeing - Taylor was tracking the ball which had long gone. It was awful.
November 30, 2025 at 5:30 PM
I can imagine 14 out of the 15 minutes will involve Arteta telling every single carded player not to give the ref any decisions to make.
November 30, 2025 at 5:26 PM
Half time, ugly game with one particularly ugly challenge.

We have a lot of cards, but I don't think we can complain about any of them. Taylor has reffed 21 of the players well, his only blind spot was Caicedo, letting him get away with a lot being booking him for a shocker. VAR corrected that.
