While my comics take a while to make, I try to avoid thinking of what I'm drawing. I've always felt that the more I think of what I make, the stiffer the outcome turns out. There's too much reluctance. I instead give myself rough outlines to see what comes from instinct and the images in my head.

About sketching: I kinda do it? I never really clicked with the feel of pencils, so I've always just gone in with a pen while hoping for the best. Since I've moved to digital I allow my pen drawings to be more freeform with line directions and whatnot since I'd be inking it all on a computer later.

Had an interesting talk with a friend a while back about workflow and what makes us tick and it had me thinking I'd give a bit of a behind the scenes view of my process alongside some raws from the upcoming comics. I've always liked to ramble about this stuff since I think it's fun to share.

A new comic's been in the works for some time now, slowly working at what I can on it between life stuff. Really excited to share this one once it's complete.

I didn't have that much complete work to show for this year sadly due to irl circumstances, but I do have several large comics I've been working on piece by piece that I'm very excited to share here as soon as they're ready for release. More is to come soon...

Hell yeah, Iβm crazy about their music! If Iβm not mistaken Transparent was Coilβs first album? It was either that or Angels but it was all very different from what theyβd do just a couple of years later. There are some bootlegs of their live shows from around the same time that are fascinating too.

I'm going slightly rabid because reading this I know exactly how Bataille could make a Faces of Little Death film freaky and horny at the same time and now it has me thinking how nuts a mondo film by that guy would be, and it would be the most French thing ever.
