I always thought that this was a myth. It’s not and I was told this by someone who works in a huge Trust in the South West.
Interesting Schools Week piece on the practice of MATs sending in staff who wouldn't normally be in school for inspections, which have written about. Interesting to hear inspectors rightly arguing that this can mean school not in normal state. schoolsweek.co.uk/revealed-how...

Interesting hearing that the #TRA (Teacher Regulator) is going through Hearings and discarding some with no written reports.They have a spotlight upon them and are trying to act like there’s nothing to see here. It’s a failing regulator that could become part of any educator’s life at any moment.

This sounds like one rule for some and one rule for others Pepe? I wonder what criteria allows some cases to be judged more, or less important. Surely any official body would need to explain its methodology, especially one with the power to end someone’s career?

Exactly how TRA operates. They even introduced changes when my referral went in. Just a small example, no union was ever permitted to refer, the TRA changed the guidance when my lawyers pointed it out, in order to meet the criteria. Corrupt. Release the report into TRA’s own serious allegations.
