As they both jumped from the roof, the rush of wind going past Hitoshi's ears, something warm and precious settled in his chest. Maybe he was still at work on his birthday, and maybe it wasn't *perfect* but...Neito had made it special, in his own way. Hitoshi had no idea how to thank him, but...

Eyes glancing back down to the street, Hitoshi noticed movement from the love hotel. Finally. He pulled up his mask again, holding out his hand to Neito with an expectant look.

"Wanna help me bring down some bad guys?" He asked, already knowing the answer.

Giving in to the urge, Hitoshi leant forward and pressed a soft kiss to Neito's cheek. The other man went so red so fast Hitoshi thought he might explode.

"I-what-Hitoshi!" Neito hissed, hitting Hitoshi's shoulder hard with his hand. "You can't just - when I wasn't even ready - you!"

"Happy Birthday," Neito said once his cupcake was gone, his voice genuine and for Hitoshi alone. "It isn't much but...you're important to me. I'm glad we're friends."

*Friends,* Hitoshi thought as he finished his own cupcake. *Are we really friends if I want to kiss him?*

It continued on as they both slowly ate the cupcakes, hitting at each other like teens again whenever one of them laughed too loudly between chews. The aching feeling from early had left Hitoshi completely, leaving behind only the sweetness of the cupcakes and the quirk of Neito's smile behind.

With the speed he had learnt from Aizawa, Hitoshi grabbed the other cupcake and shoved it into Neito's open mouth. There was silence as they both processed what had happened, Neito looked at Hitoshi in shock, before both of their shoulders started to rise and fall in more-thankfully quiet- laughter.

Beside him, Neito had paused, looking at him in wide-eyed disbelief. Then his face had cracked with a huge smile, and he had started laughing like a madman. The sound echoed around the roof and, oh no, down to the street.

It was sweet - maybe too sweet if he was being honest, but Hitoshi liked it. He could feel the buttercream smearing up his cheeks, and a part of the cupcake wrapper sticking to his teeth. Oh. He hadn't thought to unwrap it. Well. If he could just chew around it -
