Imperial stouts are best for cooking, with the additional sugars. But obviously more pricey. And agree that you don't want one that is too hoppy for cooking.

100% agree. Guinness is just so thin and bland. Main flavour i always get from it is metallic and astringent. And definitely feels like it's got worse over the years. Probably inevitable with macro brewery cost-cutting.
The Guinness original cans/bottles are slightly better than the draft though.

You can tell the rightmost one is the best simply from the colour of the head. A couple of shades darker than the rest. Any beer with a brownish head like that i know is gonna have plenty of roast flavour and be good.

Gutted i only went to Borefts once and so sad to see De Molen go 😢
The last few years they've been a shadow of their former selves, but there was a time they were the best imperial stout, barleywine and barrel aging brewery in the world, for me. Influenced so many other brewers too.

Russian forces committed a war crime involving the execution of a civilian family and the abduction of a minor.

A Russian commander ordered troops to eliminate all civilians. Following the command, Russian soldiers entered a residential home, killed the parents, and took their daughter hostage.
