Flora Constancia : Background Flora Constancia is a 5% Mexican amber lager, from Flora Fermentation, based in Higashiomi, Shiga. It's part of their canned and draught lineup, though its availability is unknown at the time of writing. The beer takes its name in honor of the brewery "La Constancia" that existed in Orizaba, Mexico in the 19th century. Finally, it is brewed using Cascade, Spalter Select and Styrian Wolf hops.

Nomcraft Nomclassic Tripel : Background Nomcraft Nomclassic Tripel is an 8% Belgian tripel from Nomcraft Brewing based in Aridgawa, Wakayama. It's part of their canned and draught lineup, and is also one of their "classic" beers, where they reproduce styles that perhaps have fallen out of favour in modern craft beer times. Nomcraft Nomclassic Tripel is brewed using Columbus and Saaz hops though more importantly, they use Belgian yeast to ferment the beer.

Echigo Citra Strata Hallertau Tradition : Background Echigo Citra Strata Hallertau Tradition is a 4.5% session IPA from Echigo Beer, based in Niigata. It's part of their 30th anniversary celebration lineup, with sales lasting until stock runs out. The beer is available in both cans and on draught with the hops used for this beer being Hallertau Tradition, an unusual one to have in a session IPA, alongside Citra and some Strata, hence the name.

Background Our Brewing is a brewery located in Fukui city, in the prefecture of Fukui. The brewery opened in April 2024 after obtaining their brewing license in February of the same year. The brewery was started upby CEO Tomohiro Okada, who was born and raised near Fukui Station, along with Tatsuya Nakanishi, who is also from Echizen City in Fukui Prefecture.

Vertere Tachikawa Taproom : The Bottom Line Oku-tama is a bit far for some people, so Vertere Tachikawa Taproom is a welcome addition from Vertere. With it being a bit closer to home, it's far more accessible with similar prices to the places in Oku-tama shop. There's no food on offer here, but you are welcome to bring your own in, just take the rubbish with you.

LeTao Canal Plaza Store : Background So we're walking around Otaru - going along the canals and back down again until we get to Otaru Beer Otaru Warehouse No.1 and I came across LeTao Canal Plaza Store, thinking it was a chocolate musuem. It was a cold day, and I was a bit hungry at this point. With queues of people waiting to get in, I was thinking that this place was something special for tourists and chocolate purists alike.

Ise Kadoya West Coast Pilsner : Background Ise Kadoya West Coast Pilsner, as the imagnative name suggests, is a 4.5% West Coast pilsner from Ise Kadoya based in Mie. It's part of their canned and draught lineup and is available all year round. What is a West Coast pilsner I hear you ask - well let me answer that. It's a beer that uses lager yeast and American hops - doesn't that just narrow it down for you.

So we’ve all been there - or at least I’d like to think so. You’re traveling to somewhere far away, or perhaps doing the reverse journey back home, and the thought crosses your mind: "A couple of cold beers on that long shinkansen ride would make this journey infinitely better." Whether you’re seated in the green car with extra legroom, or squeezed into a night bus bound for Kyushu, the idea is the same.

Background Fetish Club Beer opened in March 2024, and is brewery that is primarily located in the Daimon area of Tokyo; though they also have a brewery located in Yamaguchi. The brewery took its name from the enjoying craft beer at clubs and bars unique to Shinjuku Ni-chome, and that the images on the glasses used in the bars are inspired by this.

Mahowbrew Doomsday Pythoness : Background Mahowbrew Doomsday Pythoness is a 9% European Triple IPA from Mahowbrew, based in Naha, Okinawa. It's part of their canned and draught lineup, though its availability is unknown at the time of writing. What makes it a European Triple IPA? Well for starters it uses Bobek and Styrian Wolf hops from Slovenia, Triskel from France, and Spalter from Germany.
