This is why we're enraged: the benefit of the doubt always, always, always, without exception, goes to the abusers, not their victims. No matter how many victims accuse the same abusers. "How dare you accuse" trumps "How dare you abuse" (pun intended). Since forever.

Last year, the EU adopted its first-ever law to fight violence against women and domestic violence.

But this is not the end of the story.

Tonight, Europe shines orange as a reminder of our responsibility:

To ensure every woman can live without fear.

Tonight, @europarl.europa.eu glows in orange.

A light for every woman and girl who has suffered in silence.

A promise to every woman and girl who deserves safety, dignity, and a life free from fear.

We owe them more than awareness.

We owe them change.

Call me stupid, but I don't understand... We know there are photos. There are videos. So where are they? Who has them? Why have they not been released/leaked yet? Surely it's simple: someone just needs to press 'Send'. #Epstein #TrumpIsAPedophile

While I don't approve of the editing they did (even if it could be justified by saying it represented trump's true intent, it was still misleading), I certainly approve the response used in Arkell v Pressdram [1971]. Link in the article.

If I were in the shoes of Netherlands officials I would erect a sign on Netherlands lands commemorating the memorials gone, thus both recognizing the Black soldiers and the depravity of the current US policy.

1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

Her adoptive dad had sexually assaulted her for years. But when Taylor Cadle told police, she was treated like a “monster.” She was charged with lying to the police and had to write an apology letter to her abuser.

Justice finally came when Taylor took her phone and hit record.
Police didn’t believe a 12-year-old who said she'd been raped. Then she hit record.

Excellent dialogue in #SlowHorses. Esp when Gary Oldman says he's going to the bathroom to take a Donald. Very appropriate rhyming slang.... 😁

Everyone saying antifa 'is a terrorist organisation' already KNOWS 100% that it's not. They were not born yesterday. They know it and they know full well that they are lying. Get to the point and call them out for LYING.

It's become clear to me that his supporters know he's in the Epstein files and they don't care. But they might be made to care that he's an old man who's brain is mush. People in power need to keep speaking up. Not just hinting, but this, loudly invoking the 25th amendment.

On Thursday, someone gave me a present of a trump voodoo doll. After repeatedly viciously stabbing it, I got rid of it. I cannot bear to have a figure that's the epitome of evil in my house. I mean him, of course, not the harmless woolen doll.
