I can honestly state that I’ve never before judged an archery competition at which I’ve been concerned that the rain would make my eye makeup run! (Theme:Pirates)

Up to Lilleshall this coming weekend to judge the National County Team championship. Should be fun - 100 targets and 400 archers! 😎

A morning at the archery field with a compound bow, learning NOT to punch the release. Time to stop when I scored X X 10 10 10 9!

A great day yesterday, judging the Warfield Short Metric shoot.

As always, good to judge with a fun team - Andy Turner, Aislinn O'Connell and Meera Shah.

It was also fun to see current & former coaching students competing - Ron Cowan (current coaching student) beat Eric Murray (former ditto).

Excited! I've finally bought my first compound bow, to add to the various recurves and longbows.
A combination of Christmas present to myself and from my ever-loving and long-suffering archery widow.

Coaching Uni team tonight.
Coaching club improvers on Saturday morning.
Then a week free of archery until the following Sunday when I judge my last tournament of this year.
Wow.
It’s been a packed year.

Getting mentally prepared for judging a tournament this weekend, among all the other rather busy times facing my family...
And wishing I could add still more to the book that's now been submitted to the publishers, Austin Macauley.

A long weekend judging an Indoor Championship despite several domestic crises. Been working on a set of arrows, reducing to bare shafts and cleaning. Another tournament next weekend, some preparation done.
Running out of toys to buy! 😱
