“Can someone put together some data to support the claim…” is very 2026 though

I can’t even figure out what I just watched. This sport rules.

The Ravens and Steelers have played so many classics recently and this one probably tops them all. What a football game.

If I'm Brian Schottenheimer, I would've just stuck with whatever bad reason I had for keeping Jaydon Blue off the field in Week 18, as well, so as to avoid making it clear I'm focused on the wrong stuff

Definitely

Idk if better is the right word but missing the FG and making SF travel further wasn’t some huge negative
January 4, 2026 at 3:44 AM
Pretty hilarious to miss that and maybe get a better outcome?

Kicking the FG and possibly giving up a long return was silly. Niners need two scoring drives. Pinning them deep with this clock has benefits.

Being up 10 instead of 13 is also an interesting one. Disincentives fourth-down aggression.

Turned on Manningcast, my wife just looked up:

“What is wrong with the guy on the bottom?”

“He’s sleeping! He fell asleep. No. Oh my god, is he OK?”

Eli Derp Face is alive and well.

Yeah, feel the exact same way. Meeting people and interacting randomly was the fun of it all. Now it's just the same accounts and you get none of that.
January 3, 2026 at 4:51 PM
That's awesome, congrats!
January 3, 2026 at 4:50 PM
Completely agree. I almost deleted my account there this morning. I do still have ongoing group DMs and other things that I kind of need access to, and I work in the space so it's tough. Whenever I spend less time there, I gravitate back for sports-related things. Hoping I can get out eventually.
January 3, 2026 at 4:49 PM
I'm still following over 1,000 people over there but I swear I only see 100. It's crazy.
January 3, 2026 at 4:45 PM
Yeah, impossible not to notice different levels of engagement, and another thing I notice is someone will pop up on my feed at some point, and I'll be like "oh I haven't seen them in forever," and click and they've been tweeting the whole time. Site just decided not to show me any of it.

It’s such a weird feeling how different it obviously now is
January 3, 2026 at 4:29 PM
That’s evolved, as expected by anyone paying attention, and it just gets worse before people who care can even identify the full scope of the issue and think about a fix. Eat Arby’s.
January 3, 2026 at 4:27 PM
Just lamenting, to no one in particular, that the weird feeling 10 years ago of having holiday conversations with distant family members that believed things that weren’t just different but impossible to reconcile —
January 3, 2026 at 4:26 PM
When the goal is the town square and a mix of opinions, and people grow to rely on that, and then it changes to the exact opposite, there are going to be people who just don’t get the news anymore.
January 3, 2026 at 4:23 PM
I share this mostly because there are a lot of people who are still exclusively over there, not because they are bad people, but due to roots and habit.

Back in the day, you could rely on your Twitter feed to keep you up on breaking news. I assume there are people who still use it thinking this.
January 3, 2026 at 4:18 PM
Still check both Bluesky & Twitter, mostly bc of accounts over there that aren’t here, but I’m aware how bad that place is.

Still shocking to me today that over there, it’s like there isn’t even a Venezuela thing. I went back and forth comparing feeds; over there, basically can’t find posts on it.

If he had, would it have counted as 9 forced missed tackles?
