Republicans have shut down the federal government for nearly a month, decimated public health funding, suing to permanently undo the Voting Rights Act, advocating to bring back conversation therapy and are still using ICE as a paramilitary to snatch people from their homes and off the the sidewalks.

Of course political violence is wrong. It’s a lazy and impatient tactic that brings more death and more pain, never real solutions. Yet, is it rarely decried when a poor person is denied health care, or when a trans woman is gunned down, or when an innocent Black man is locked away.

A lot of y'all didn't decry "political violence" when Tortuguita was shot 14 times in cold blood by state troopers, but have a lot to say about someone whose assailant remains at large with an unknown motive. Why is it complicated when the victim is brown?
Why is it so easy then the victim is white?
