Oh, I could never make this up. As I watch past episodes of Finding Your Roots on PBS, Tulsi Gabbard & Marco Rubio are on. Both gush about how ethnicity is immaterial in the US, & all have unlimited opportunities. Their irony and hypocrisy as members of the Trump administration just blows my mind.

My Melt ICE hat knit with leftover wool in a favorite style, as it's double brimmed. I added blue waves & pines from Doodle Knit Dictionary by Jamie Lomax in a tribute to MN.

My Melt ICE hat knit with leftover wool in a favorite style, as it's double brimmed. I added blue waves & pines from Doodle Knit Dictionary by Jamie Lomax in a tribute to MN.

I knit this Melt the ICE hat in Cascade 2020 worsted on size 8 needles. I heard it was running small, and it did. I knit 2" of stockinette after the ribbing instead of 2 rows. If I knit it again, I would knit a row between the decrease rows also. #KnitSky

Another civilian shot dead on the street in Minneapolis point blank by masked "officers". This was near the Mpls Institute of Arts and the Children's Theater. They have a person screaming he's a citizen pinned to the street. His wife is sobbing, saying they were running from deployed gas.

Watching "Finding Your Roots" on PBS starting with season 1 episode 1, while knitting. It's cold today in Minnesota and it seems fitting to hear the stories of our immigrant history. This is us. Making a basic pair of socks from yarn in my stash. #KnitSky

I was thrilled to be able to purchase some yarn in a real LYS yesterday, as there are none actually local for me. So today I caked yarn and dragged out my substantial stash to organize. Now working on a hat requested by my daughter for her friend. Whew.

FO Friday! Socks for my darling DIL are all done! Stocai Bunusa toe up version knit in Expression Fiber Arts Resilient Sock in Shadow Shift. The beginning and end of the skein produced a difference in color saturation, but that's ok! #KnitSky

Socks are done! Stocai Bunusach knit with Trekking XXL yarn from my stash. This was the cuff down version, and I learned that I should make the toe up option. Grafting the toe is NOT my thing. At. All. But they fit! #KnitSky
