It has been too long since I’ve sat down and created a digital illustration. This was a lot of fun.

I’m considering making it into an art sticker. I’ve never tried printing my own, but The Studio makerspace at the library has all the tools I need to get started, except for the paper.
I’ll have an assortment of painted birch slices at the Toadal Eclipse of the Art Popup this Saturday at Lincoln Square Mall.

Choosing herbs for the photo shoot was just as fun as making the sculpture.

January’s been a whirlwind—loss in the family, hours on the road, and now fighting the flu. Carving out a few moments in the studio to finish this little forager brought some much-needed solace.

Solid color on the backside. I enjoy the contrast. 🙂
Packaging prototype for my painted wood slices. The box was assembled by hand. Swinging by the local Maker Space tomorrow to experiment with cutting and scoring the boxes with a Circuit.
Installed new elements in one of the old kilns at the Park District. I like to get as much life from kiln components as possible, but it was definitely time to swap them out.
