I got six - no seriously, SIX - different messages today from cishet men saying that although they support me being trans, they would prefer if I stop my daily selfies because they aren't attracted to me and don't want to see my photos, and I am just wondering if the cishet men are ever okay
There is so much wrong with this, but the INSANE belief that "women only have value/can only take up space if I find them attractive" is the most common way men dehumanize us, and it leads to many of the most evil ills our society suffers.
The pending storm reminds me of one of the funniest things I’ve ever heard.
The last time we got a lot of ice I was in bed & heard one of our local raccoons land on the roof from a tree, & then try very hard but in vain to gain traction b4 sliding off & falling…it was so damn good 😂.

I love a good snow storm. Obviously I very much want to keep power & be able to avoid driving in it (I do have a wrangler so that helps if I absolutely need to).
But I love a big but largely harmless weather event. We’ll have a fire & blankets & watch sports & movies & maybe play outside a little.

I feel like we aren’t far from something like a Timberwolves home game not going on as planned because of what’s happening rn & folks in the league then getting more vocal about this. like it can’t just be ‘let’s live life like normal’ for very much longer is my suspicion.

The fact that the cowboys still have a game left in this miserable season, combined with the Super Bowl happening during the Winter Olympics this year, has got me firmly believing that elongating the season was a mistake. Go back to the way it was.
