As many of these works were temporary or ephemeral, documenting and analyzing them together helped bring into focus and preserve what might be seen as a movement of Sewol art and activism.πŸŽ—οΈ

Motivated by these events, I set out to document how Korean activist-artists used performance to support Sewol families and survivors, and create a public memory archive that mourns and remembers the victims. πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ’»

At the time of the incident, I was horrified by the news footage of the sinking ferry and felt powerless. This helplessness lingered for months.πŸŽ—οΈ
