Teesside’s freeport, initiated in 2021 under Rishi Sunak, has cost £560 million far exceeding the standard £25 million allocation (22 times the standard £25m).
90% profits go to the private sector.
This clearly shows the UK model of State aid post-Brexit is utterly corrupt.

Good to hear Israelis say this. I think it is the only long-term viable option. One state with full rights and equality before the law for everyone in it. You know, a normal, functioning, democracy as it oughta be. A two-state solution is just “bantustanisation”, the main effect of apartheid.

Your “occupation” (interesting choice of word) of bases is NOT welcome everywhere either. In the ME, it is nothing more than the projection of your power and the protection of some nasty regimes - Israel in particular, but around the Gulf too. Have some of your own medicine.

Why does Qatar need an airbase in the US? I suppose the same question could be asked of the US base in Qatar. If Qatar shouldn’t be in the US, the US equally shouldn’t be in Qatar. Or anywhere else for that matter. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’d never heard of her this morning and had thought the same. Then I read up on her. Oh. Now I know.
This isn’t the triumph you may think it is. She is very right wing, pro-Trump, a fan of Argentina’s disastrous Milei, and privatised Venezuela’s $100tr oil reserves. Nobel Committee due diligence?

It would’ve helped if Ed had kept their players on the pitch. After Munster’s first sloppy try, they just couldn’t score against Ed. That said, two of those YCs were absolute nonsense. I’d go as far as to say biased. You see teams go 8, 9, 10 penalties with no YC & here, 1? YC. Result? Another loss.

And these wealthy people like being in Britain because of what it has to offer which they can easily and thoughtlessly afford - all of it on the backs of people who support their wealthy existence. That foundation is crumbling and will bring them down with it - wherever they are. Or FO to Dubai. 🤷🏻‍♂️
