My husband and I, in our 70’s, can do daily activities on our electric-assisted bikes with baskets and panniers. I attribute our health and happiness to being carfree. We can borrow a car for when we need to go out of town, so we have the best of both worlds. If only everyone could be so lucky!

I can’t argue with your assessment of the bleakness of that office building conversion. However, what is equally bleak is a city center where office workers go home at night. We need people living in the business district to bring life to a city.
