Unfortunately not my experience. I find many are aggressive in their quest for speed. Have been knocked over twice by food couriers, concussion both times.

The Simcoe Loop has whole sections with very large chunks of gravel, regularly topped up, the better to snowmobile on. Multi-purpose trails don't always favour cyclists.

The exception would be the Caledon Trailway and the Friendship Trail, both of which I have ridden multiple times

Most rail trails are by nature uneventful. I gave up on exploring them because they often lack amenities, aren't very scenic and unevenly maintained
I found myself riding on the road to relieve the monotony.

At my doctor's advice, stopped biking everywhere and did more walking. It worked; the more I walk, the better I sleep. But boy, I hate leaving my bike at home.

What "stuff"? Putting fridge magnets on cars? Elderly people (I am one) shouldn't get a pass because of age.
