Some of these strategies will see results immediately, while others will take time. But we remain committed to adapting as necessary, and doing everything possible to protect our community.

In the past month, we deployed beat officers to identified hotspots. Additionally, traffic restrictions have been added to deter illegal parking by drug dealers at key intersections. And we have increased multiagency coordination to develop long-term prevention frameworks.

We owe this not only to Mr. Alexander and his family, but also to the seniors, immigrants, and children he served in our community.

Every strategy we implement brings us closer to a San Francisco where we can all live and serve without fear.

We remain committed to adapting and doing everything possible to protect our community. In the Tenderloin, we will continue to enforce our laws, and those who come to cause harm — to themselves or others — will be held accountable.

This project wouldn’t be possible without Street Soccer, friends of Elm Alley, and advocacy from youth and community members. Special shout out to Scott Bravmann for encouraging our youth dream big and helping those dreams come to life.
