Hoping they make it to norther NJ this winter. Haven't seen them yet.
Bunch of gadwalls hanging out at Parsons Pond in north Jersey. #birding #birdphotography.
New additions to the list of species photographed by the backyard feeder yesterday. Dark eyed junco, eastern towhee (male & female) and hairy woodpecker.
American tree sparrow, sharp shinned hawk, dark eyed junco and hermit thrush all from North Jersey #birding #birdphotography. Got all excited the hermit was a gray cheaked and a lifer but alas nope.
Your work is fantastic James!

#Birdtober Day 17 is Specialized Diet. You can tell a lot about bird diets by looking at their beaks/bills.

I was envisioning a funeral for a damaged bike and you saying kind words about its faithfulness and dependability and how they will be missed.
He's a regular ole Cicero that chap!
What happened to the bike?
Had the opportunity to bird LNWR in August. Awesome place. Would love to visit during migration. Great shot of one of my favorite warblers
Northern Mockingbird with some attitude. He's ready to give someone a stern talking to. Real assistant principal vibes. #BirdOfTheDay #birding #character
#birdoftheday #birding a plethora of skinny legs great egret with a bunch of greater yellowlegs in the great Meadowlands of northern NJ.
Absolutely love this shot! Congrats
Not bad at all! Great shots given the surprise!
Have had dozens of attempts to get a purple finch on camera this year and no luck, until yesterday where they were everywhere. One of the joys of being a new birder is experiencing the seasonal changes in species. Hope the joy doesn't fade in the future. #birding #birdphotography

A coopers hawk and crow were going at it this morning while I was photographing a Wilson's snipe. The crow finally gave up and the hawk could relax. Went back and forth between a soccer goal and tennis courts. #hawks #birding #birdphotography

Rest in Peace, for eternity.

"The slender-billed curlew (Numenius tenuirostris) has been officially declared extinct. This is the first-ever recorded global bird extinction from mainland Europe, North Africa, and West Asia."

Early morning dog walk mixed with some patch birding. Colby showed his #birding skills helping me land a Wilson's snipe, Cooper's hawk, pectoral sandpiper and solitary sandpiper among many others #birdphotography
Back from AL and "walked the dog" where folks have been seeing the Wilson's Snipe... and all four were still enjoying north Jersey hospitality. #lifer #birding #birdphotography
