The #mothing didn't live up to my own hype last soir. 9/6 here in VC27, with a pair of Feathered Thorn, a Barred Sallow and this poseur of a November Moth agg the highlights. Better than not, I suppose. #teammoth

Unapologetically lighting up again tonight. The wind has dropped and it's feeling mild. #teammoth #moths

It's still looking very promising for tonight. The wind should become lighter from the west later in the night. #teammoth

Definitely having a dabble with the actinic last soir. Only 2 #moths, but a lovely Green Brindled Crescent+ a good ole Turnip saved the night in VC27. #teammoth

Juniper Carpet and Acleris schalleriana - Viburnum Tortrix, were both new #moths for me on Thurs eve in NR6. Some decent back ups two, inc Merv, Feathered Thorn and Diamond-back. #teammoth #norfolkmoths

Still a few #fungi pics to check, from Holkham Dunes/Pines. I believe this one to be Liver Milkcap (Lactatius hepaticus). #mycology #fungus #norfolk

A suitably seasonal Samhain encounter with this stunning Noble False Widow, lurking near our compost bins. Spiders and their webs have been viewed as powerful symbols of fate, creativity, and the interconnectedness of life, death, and the spiritual world.

Some Russula species from the dune slack. There were definitely Crab (xerampelina), possibly The Sickener (emetica) and maybe Primrose (sardonia). #fungifriday #mycology #fungi

More fungi from #Holkham NNR. Lovely Yellow Stagshorn, Common Rustgill, Grey and Sulphur Knights - the latter stank of glue! #fungifriday #fungi #mycology #fungifriends #halloween

I had a fantastic hike around my old stomping ground yesterday on Holkham NNR. Lots of #fungi in all the old spots, so here's a series of pics and attempted IDs in the ALT. I'm a bit rusty so any comments appreciated. #fungi #mycology #fungifriends

Evidence of Shrike presence at Burnham Overy Dunes? No sign of any while I was there, but I'm not sure what else could be responsible. #birds #norfolkbirds #larder

Whilst looking for #fungi at Holkham Dunes this bright little thing caught my eye. Palpita vitrealis, taking in some sun. #moths #teammoth #migrantmoths #norfolkmoths

Almost forgot that I had a hat trick of Merveille du Jour yesterday - a garden record. Always surprised at how chunky they are. Beautiful #moths. #teammoth #norfolkmoths

A single White-point saved the Wogan here in Norfolk. Chilly night. #teammoth #moths

Rather a soggy trap ce matin. However, this Mottled Umber was clinging onto the outside and was a very welcome nfy. 5/5 was the total. #teammoth #norfolkmoths

Some lovely fresh Jelly Ear #Fungus today. Finally, some rain to get things moving. #fungi #mycology

With moths thin in the ground I turned my attention to #fungi this morn. 19 species in an hour foraying around Catton Park - my new local #fungus patch.

IDs are my best shot. Happy to be corrected.

A single Red-green Carpet on the wall next to the actinic saved the Wogan. 1/1 here in cold, blustery Old Catton. #teammoth
