Even though I'm not a lister, I was pleased to see my first-in-county Black-bellied/Grey Plovers today 😍

One of a small flock of three who've been foraging in an agricultural area for a couple of days now.

Thanks so much, Glen. I had to shoot though some sunflower stalks swaying in the wind while crouching on the (wet) ground. For this split second, the wind had parted them in such a way so as not to obscure the bird. Lucky moment.

Common Sandpiper on the wing from a quick outing to the river just now.

Water level really high & all the areas usually available to resting #shorebirds flooded - this one spent quite a bit of time flying around...
