Long time no post. Still having small coughing bouts but doing much better. I'm incredibly nervous about this Saturday but I think it's a good nervous. Is there such a thing even? Pretty sure there is but that's a bit over my head for how tired I am right now HA

Pneumonia & Laringyitis isn't really a fun combo to have while homeless but it's better than Covid that's for sure. As bad as I feel I'm itching to get busy working but alas no call to orientation yet. What actually hurts me the most right now is I have many cam pics to upload & no ways to do so 😞

Fantastic news! the shelter found someone to foster the boys so once we're on better footing they'll be back with us. Wish I could say the same about my herps but they are with a fantastic couple who run a sanctuary in our home county so they'll be well taken care of.

It's absolutely despicable that many shelters require mandatory attendance to religious service. Life-saving housing should not be locked behind the Christian bible.

A Rusty Blackbird at Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge in eastern North #Carolina Jan 2025. It is a species of greatest conservation need in NC. I see them at home during migration, but they winter in the wooded swamps of the Atlantic coastal plain.
