Beat Xenosaga 2 last night.

Not nearly as bad as its reputation depicted.

My biggest complaints, though I don’t know if it was my discs or system, was that many cutscenes didn’t have audio and fight themes didn’t play much.

Now to figure out how best to experience Pied Piper and Missing Year.

It was different using an existing world rather than making my own. In the past Id’d been too nervous about getting lore “wrong” in a world like Forgotten Realms with decades of history.

But in the Motherboard frame, not only do we plenty of room to make it my own, we also have supports.

Just ran Daggerheart for 6 players.

A lot of stuff going on but was fun I think.

Now to see if they can get to the Augur before anyone else next time.

I’m not holding my breath for it, but if we get Xenosaga I will laugh and cry.

I finally got around to beating 1 and am almost done with 2.

I don’t care if it’s Xenoblade 2 DE, 2 switch 2 edition, Xenosaga remake, or Xenoblade 4.

I am excited for whatever is next on this wild ride that is the passage of fate.

I do hope it’s not a 2 DE though, I already 100% 2 and I’d hate to have to do it again.

Scratch that! Two special scans later I got it. Finally!

Something I think I’ll be sharing is the painful shiny hunt that is Gimmighoul in PLZA.

Or more specifically the journey to get a Gimmighoul zone to spawn.

See, I am a shiny hunter. I have every gen 9 shiny Pokémon (available without events) except family of 3 Maushold and Gimmighoul.

It occurs to me that there was a time when the rigid impersonable nature of machine characters like HAL 9000 and Ash from Alien put them at odds with human characters and human goals.

Now we often see robotic or artificial intelligences as more personable and helpful, making them friends and heroes

I watched 2001: A Space Odyssey for the first time yesterday.

Very glad I did, very thought provoking and hauntingly beautiful.

Going to be fun to be able to recognize all the influence it has had on Sci-fi series I enjoy. Namely Star Wars and Xenosaga.
