7 million protesters, 0 arrests.

Man we suck at terrorism.
I've blocked a number of "official" U.S. government social media pages here on Bluesky.

Why? Because they should be non-partisan.

The @deptvetaffairs was particularly vile. It's about US as veterans, and about SERVING VETERANS--NOT being PARTISAN and pushing the Republican agenda onto the world!

Though I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of the world, I can't sit down and listen to podcasts. I simply don't have the quiet time to do that, and when I do, it's usually interrupted.

So, luckily, I'm not subscribed to any audio-type companies besides SiriusXM (which I need for my vehicle).

Spotify is running ICE ads. I went to cancel on mobile and saw that this isn’t allowed on mobile. They make you cancel on desktop. You think that’s gonna stop me, Spotify? I will erase you and forget you ever existed.

THOU SHALT CANCEL SPOTIFY!!!
It's also the shifting of responsibility to nobody and nowhere. We the People don't want to take responsibility for our own actions, and yet we throw doubt and suspicion and sarcasm at the government for trying to keep us healthy and happy (i.e. vaccines), and even fed (SNAP, WIC--now "socialism").
It's the "bubble." It's the bubble that we as Americans are used to, comfortable with, and demand. We don't WANT to believe there are several pandemic situations on the horizon. We don't WANT to believe that our country's own leaders are not only gaslighting us but profiting off their efforts.
I think what's both sad and a little bit frightening is that my local news stations are almost obsessed with avoiding national news. Everything is local--and yea, I know why--but they refuse to do coverage on Facebook of national/international news for days on end. And everything is happening fast.

Pritzker: Throughout history we've learned that tyranny doesn't arrive with dramatic proclamations. Most times it comes quietly wrapped in the language of law and order, with fingers pointed at someone who doesn't look like you, promising safety while demanding that we sacrifice our neighbors.

I hear ya... something along these lines.

Across all the major outlets — NYT, WSJ, WaPo, LAT, CNN, ABC, CBS, Fox News, NBC, CNBC, NPR, Bloomberg — the only outlet without a No Kings story on its home page is CBS News.

For every other outlet, it's near the top. Even Fox News is running with "Nationwide unrest looms as thousands mobilize"

I know I’ve mentioned it before - but there is so often a coyness about talking about the predators close to the monarchy - Mountbatten, Laurens Van Der Post, Peter Ball, Jimmy Savile - such danger in deference

I don't have a problem with anyone particular religious beliefs... but atheists are willing to step up to the plate to serve the here-and-now, and do the work for humanity as-is. So try giving the "thoughts and prayers" some thought.

Ever have someone make you feel bad for no reason? That's me right now. The neighbor keeps issuing one bitch-complaint after another, and there's a broken child inside of me that feels sad about the series of rejections and snappish remarks...

Then my Gen X soul goes, "Fuck her." 🖕 So there's that.
They have no right to detain U.S. citizens during their raids and call them "collateral damage," but they're doing it, anyway.
In brief, this is simple:

The military has no authority to detain the survivors of its latest strike for the same reasons it had no authority to target them in the first place:

No armed attack = No viable self defense claim = No targeting or detention authority

No joke--there are people on Upper Michigan Facebook sections asking, "Do we have a king yet?"

They literally want to be dominated. They're actually happy with the bullshit they've been fed, and they're standing in lines, plates in hand and silverware at the ready, for more.
