No but one of the leaders is doing it plus carbon printing. I have seen guys using caffeine to develop their film, the web is full of different kinds of things to use. I will start with baby steps just using Ilford’s films and paper.
I printed film fifty years ago but I’m loving the magical experience and hopefully can encourage one of my grandchildren to witness the moment when the images appear on paper.film does seem to be making a comeback with the young people.
We are fortunate that a small number of very keen guys have set up a community funded darkroom and studio, I’m probably four times older than most of them but I’m loving the craft of developing my own film and hope to start printing soon. It certainly makes sense money wise but also it’s fun
Yes, I am loving my journey through the photography rabbit hole using my film camera, slow and considered plus the disciplined approach helps me with my digital photography skills as well.

Thanks for the compliment David, I’m finding that using film is forcing me to think about the composition and lighting and how to build up an image. That skill is hopefully helping me improve with my digital photography as well, either way I just love the art of photography.
A little bit of detail! I just love using my set of extension tubes coupled to the Zenzanon 75mm on my Bronica etrsi, this time loaded with Ilford HP5 film. Mirror lockup and cable release certainly helped. #photography#believeinfilm#ilfordfilm#blackandwhite#closeup#bronica#stumped

Little Wanganui beach, looking towards the north and Karamea. A big empty sandy beach with only a flock of Terns fishing in the surf to keep me company. Sony A7iii and fe24/70mm lens. #photography#sonycamera#littlewanganui#beachlife#desertedbeach#clouds#christchurchphotographer#newzealand
Sea foam ! On the beach at Little Wanganui. I used my Sony a7iii and 90mm macro lens to get this image. #photography#seafoam#bubbles#littlewanganui#christchurchphotographer#beachlife#newzealand
