Aoi doesn't hear him, too lost in chasing the pleasure that his hands bring. Her hips bucking for the one as she stands on her tip toes to force the other one even deeper into her back, desperate for him to reach as far as her heart. The result of her silence is both of them coming to a stop and where before gasps and whines filled the air there's only an aggravated snarl.

In response Thancred only sweetly props his chin against the curve of her shoulder, trailing kisses along the scales littered there. "Did your masters neglect to teach you the dangers of provocation?" she growls while struggling uselessly under his heavy weight.

"Answer my question," he demands lazily, casually stepping on her tail when he senses it getting ready to strike.

Thancred shut his eyes and took a slow breath. How many years even had it been? And she still carried it like this?

She took another sip of her wine and felt it warm her throat as she swallowed, humming with the feeling of it. She sat and waited for the man beside her to make his decision: stay or go.

“Is it truly conversation that you’re after?” He finally asked, seeming to have decided, and her jaw dropped slightly before pulling into a small smile.

“My, my, I’m not the only observant shadow in this tavern,” she said. “No, it is not. Though a woman of my…notoriety has trouble with such matters.”

She could hardly choose to warm just anyone’s bed. The ones from before had not spilled her secrets or given a tell-all to the local gossips, and for that she was grateful.

“Notoriety?” He asked, and she rose her eyebrows at his joke. Except.

“You don’t know who I am?” She asked, surprised.

“Should I?” He shrugged, drinking down more of his ale.

“No, I suppose you shouldn’t,” she allowed. “Makes things easier.” She downed the rest of her wine and placed the gil and tip on the bar. She stood, smirking as the man beside her pretended not to watch her. “Room 13,” she added, coming close to his horn. “If it please you.”
