Need to work on game management a bit - Blades wasted at least three brilliant chances to make it 4-2 and kill things off - not to mention the sloppiness of Ipswich's opener. But considering it's been 18 months between home wins, just getting any kind of victory is very sweet.

A hugely-deserved first win of the season for United Women, with the superb Amy Andrews scoring twice in a 3-2 victory over Ipswich. In truth, this should have been a cruise for United who were far superior and raced into a 3-0 lead, but gave away two soft goals to make it a nervy finish.

New WOMEN OF STEEL is out, as United come oh-so-close to nicking a point against the league leaders Birmingham. I was really impressed with how we played in this one. Big game against Ipswich at home on Sunday.

Maybe there are some in the women's game due to fewer fixtures. Sunderland (men) went almost a full year without a win from Dec 2017 - Dec 2018, but those are rookie numbers.

Pretty brutal start for United Women who lose 4-0 at home to Sunderland. Started well and the first goal came out of the blue, but an alarming result against a team I expect us to be of a similar level to. Rough debut for Parker-Smith in goal (4SOT for Sunderland) albeit some v good finishes.
