I'm up to 132 movies released in 2025 watched this year. Here's the top 10 IMO. 6-8 definitely belong together.

Finished my Anti-Criterion Challenge over the weekend with #BattleRoyale and now just finished my Criterion Challenge with #Koyaanisqatsi. Next year, probably only doing one challenge on @letterboxd.social and will spend more time working on the Top 250 Narrative Features list.

Just flying through Kansas City and it's just insane to me that there's so much open space that could easily accommodate housing.

Empty lots, large lots that could be subdivided, does no one in Kansas City need housing? Are prices not high there?

lost my work fantasy playoff game because i didn't check it sunday morning. oh well. it's low stakes, but would have liked to go back-to-back.

By default, even though he appears to be not involved with the killings in this movie, you always know with these direct-to-rental movies, Neal McDonough is always the bad guy.

Either the stupidest people are on Threads or the stupidest people get the most engagement which then puts their stupidity in my Instagram feed.

dumbass co-workers kept me at work 30 minutes later than i wanted. which put me behind an accident that added 40 minutes to my commute. then there's random lane closures after i get off the freeway. so yeah, was in a horrible mood.

my stomach has been weird for 2+ days now. probably from lack of sleep, anxiety over sick kiddo, and bad late-night eating habits. oh well.

These are all so scummy. They rubber-stamp everything and then get a kickback from the retailer after they approve you to use HSA funds on a supposed "medically necessary" purchase - like Pelotons, mattresses, or Huel.
Psst you can buy a mattress with HSA. I know in theory you're supposed to just use the HSA as an investment vehicle but the tax free money is good enough for me.

I don't think I'll ever understand how these movies work financially. Does Tubi actually pay for them or pay per stream?

People complaining about a $20 rental fee on Letterboxd for a good, indie movie. Meanwhile I'm upset about a $4 rental fee for a piece of shit.
