Every year I get to run the Great Small Dogs Races at the Silvertips. Tonight was so much fun. The non-smooshed face contestants ran with Windego as the winner.

Feb 7 is the smooshed face dogs racing. Be there or be square.

Took a stab at this. Some very loose math involved, but initial results have the median Cost per Win (in 2026 Dollars) at ~$10.4M. Such a small sample (72 contracts) yields very noisy results. "Age Curve" was +/-0 WAR a year until age 30; -0.5 WAR a year until 35, then -1 WAR a year after that

Average score difference.

Colorado are frightening generally, but especially as the second period begins.

Try new stuff. Meet new people. Be present for your neighbors. Good things will happen.
Best TikTok thing going is the two dudes trying food from every country without leaving NYC. If you haven’t seen them yet, it’s incredible. My favorite so far is last week’s. Legit got me emotional.

This is going to be an awesome event in March. It rocks that I get to be a part of it with @thomasdrance.bsky.social. We're already cooking up some fun shows for that week with special guests.

Pham struggled with contact lenses in 2025, and this report from late June says he felt like he was "heading in a right direction" after trying multiple different lenses. Timing lines up almost perfectly with his Contact/Power gains.

Tommy Pham got better as the season went on, adding positive Contact and Power contributions to his consistently plus Swing Decisions.

He faced a brutal slate of challenging pitches at the start of the year, then gradually crept up to a more league-average quality of competition.

I talk about my job, data science, baseball stuff, management stuff

I don’t understand how the Avs are *so* dominant at even strength and **so** impotent on the power play.
