The Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District offers rebates on things like native plants, rain barrels, compost bins. The program runs April-September, and you can apply for a rebate each year!

3. I want to be more open to being in The Community. Being open to chit-chatting with parents at daycare, friendly to neighbors, making myself known as someone who can be open and a resource for others.

2. I’m trying to have a low-buy mentality to clothing. I have enough clothes and if I really want something I should try to find it second-hand. And I will no longer be buying any new polyester or acrylic garments! I don’t like them, so even if I like the garment, I’ll be passing on those.

1. I usually plant a flowerbed of wildflowers each year. This year I will be opting to plant native perennials. I’m hoping it will be “less” work, and beneficial for soil health and insects that over-winter in foliage.
