Woodworking with traditional tools, spoon carving, and mucking about. Occasional 16th/17th Century historical interpretation and shenanigans. Dog Dad. Comments and questions welcome. Not to worry, the blood is my own. Slava Ukraini

My soul is already being consumed by this fellow.
Okay, why is this called a motorbike?
I’m in the process of removing them from my website. The income from them has dropped to a small fraction of what it once was, and I’m not liking them for political reasons.
I find the shape of the man’s walking stick interesting as it bears a close resemblance to the sort of modern cane I’ve used after leg surgery. Nothing is new.
As did we volunteers at Jamestown Settlement. We come in to cold hearths, no wells (water available at the fort office) and wood conveniently staged about the fort.
Hmm, I think you have more staff than I do. 🙂
Oh no, hope she gets better soon.
Haul the water from the creek.

Haul the wood in from the woodpile.

Wait, if you guys go back tonight, and we (North America) don’t go back for another week, does that mean I won’t see your posts for an hour? Or will I see them before you post them? Confused.
The completed expansion of the dog run (“LuluLand”), encompassing The Folly. Emerson in particular seems to enjoy the additional space for running laps and chasing balls.
Lulu and Emerson took me for a walk through the meadow and the woods. A frosty morning but it looks to be a beautiful day.
The expansion of Lulu and Emerson’s zoomie run is now operational, and Emerson seems to having a grand time with the additional space. Lulu, being older and wiser, uses shortcuts to keep up with her big little brother. #dogs #LuluLand
Autumn is getting settled in central Virginia, and Blue Stem grass has erupted in puffy white seeds. We are forecast for a heavy acorn mast this year, though so far it’s just been average. Looking forward for the leaves to turn and drop, wood cutting doesn’t really start until the leaves are down.
Careful, they get bigger than you expect.
