The sickness spread with the proliferation of AI-facilitated Virtual Reality. Communication dwindled: emails went unanswered, personal communication became practically nonexistent. Large factions of society collectively became social recluses, condemned to a solipsistic prison of their own making. And when police responded to welfare checks, it was not uncommon to find the skeletal remains of the victims with their glowing headsets on … A hint of a smile gracing the remains of their face.

Last month I had the opportunity to visit and make street photography in Chicago for the first time. Being a city girl through and through, I felt right at home navigating public transport and pounding the pavement. Since I wasn't there long, there is a lot I didn't get to see. I hope I can make another trip in the near future, preferably when it is warm like it was during this trip.
