Ah, that's a tough question. It would really depend on the character. For example I would also develop a crush on the older lady, so that means less heartbreak. For others, maybe being defeated by someone bigger might sting more, because it means no chance of fighting back
The gal girl concept from september is still living rent-free in my mind, but i feel that the other option has maximum heartbreak, so it's a difficult choice! I guess sexy mature lady wins for me, by a small margin.
I know it's not much help, but please consider the following: it's frustrating but the trolls/pirates are an unwanted effect of the impact of your art. They would probably enjoy seeing you suffer, so after doing all you can to stop them, you should feel better just out of spite for them.
By now, I've associated pink balloons with Megumi,so the blue ones would be fine for me... but maybe other people don't feel the same... Maybe a darker shade of green might help the readability?
The one on the right is more interesting, plus the transparency allows to see the lines behind the bubbles. The left one has a more "serious" vibe. I'd choose the right one.

I made something! I don't have a graphic tablet, so I drafted a pencil sketch, inked it, and scanned it before finishing it with a graphics editor. I wish some actual artist sees it, gets annoyed with my lack of skills and makes justice to this great character with some proper fanart!
