100% putting Hollow Knight away now. The White Palace is, frankly, one of the worst areas in any game I’ve played. The design feels like it’s from a different game entirely & it’s genuinely bad.

On the bright side, I decided to go back to Silksong & have progressed a bit there instead.

After finding out the game’s true ending was only attainable after forcing the player through a painfully impossible platforming challenge that doesn’t even feel like it’s from the same game, I think the answer is no, I will not get the next ending. Such a disappointment.

Will I go through the grind of getting the next ending? I guess we’ll see. At least I can finally say I’ve finished Hollow Knight. Quite possibly a 10/10.

Decided to treat myself to a month of Youtube Premium Lite (even though that’s also overpriced) so I can watch some of Critical Role C4 without YT ruining it with its awful ad frequency.

I await the inevitable sadness when I have to go back to those ads…

Not had the best luck with recent releases, really. Between Silksong’s unnecessarily cruel difficulty & the crushing disappointment of Silent Hill f, I can only hope I have a better time with whatever’s next!

Yep, definitely a waste of money. After all these years of waiting for a proper new Silent Hill, it’s so disappointing when it’s not particularly good. Even more so when there was so much potential.

Wish I’d listened to my gut when I saw that initial combat gameplay footage.

I really want to like Silent Hill f but the gameplay doesn’t make it easy. Far too much focus on combat (which is awkward at best & plain bad at worst) & 4 hours in I’ve yet to encounter anything resembling a story. Starting to feel like a disappointing waste of money.

Technically I’ve done the whole #Inktober thing by drawing today, but it was so bad I refuse to share it. Didn’t even finish it because I was so disgusted with my efforts.

Hollow Knight is great but also frustratingly difficult to navigate. I never finished it originally because I couldn’t find where to go & I’m close to doing the same again on this second attempt.

Silent Hill f sure is a weird game. Not gonna lie, the combat style really feels out of place & it has some other odd design choices but the atmosphere is excellent. I’m only about 2 hours in so hopefully the atmosphere & story continue to keep me engaged!

Been enjoying going through Hollow Knight again but, like my original attempt years ago, I’m a bit stuck again. Not sure where to go, but I did accidentally unlock a DLC so maybe that’ll keep me going for a bit.

After finding Silksong to be almost obnoxiously difficult, I decided to go back & restart Hollow Knight (I originally got about 2/3 through it) which is so much more friendly in the early game.

That’s Crow Country finished. I loved its take on the early days of survival horror games, even if I really didn’t like some of the design choices of the gameplay.

Started Crow Country now it’s on PS+. I didn’t buy it because I hated the aiming controls in the demo & unfortunately they still suck in the full game. There’s an interesting game in there, though.
