Texas is the state that could take the House, Senate, and Presidency off the table for Republicans.

Before Trump, it was a kind of radical idea that we should never have another Republican president again. But now, he has made that not only a goal, but a realistic one given the damage he has done combined with demographic winds in Democrats favor.

I'm still feeling a little sore. But I have been having a lot more dream activity.

Now is the time to seize the night. I can do this!
I've been feeling sick. I am going to lie down and try to imagine Kamala Harris winning in 2024.

I fell asleep last night before I could reach the state that they say you need to get in to reach the alternative reality or more likely a mental imagination of it in the sense of a lucid dream. But I decided I'm going to try again tonight and go to bed later.

This isn't unique to Latin America. If the US had a major segment of immigration from the Middle East (as in ~20+ percent of immigration) and the overwhelming majority of those were both Arab and Middle Eastern or North African, they would likely be given a similar classification treatment.
I think the reason we have "Latinos" or "Hispanics" as a race in the US is because there was no real box for the influx of Latin American immigration, and the Latino immigrants tended to have a distinct nonwhite appearance.

It was only created on the Census in the 1970s after Latino advocacy.

We might get Texas to turn blue for real this year.

Because in 2018, we had Texas's Senate seat decided by just 3% in the GOP's favor. With the demographic change over those 8 years plus more independents souring on the Republicans even more, it could be enough to put Dems over the top in both.

An American invasion of Greenland could really cause the greatest market panic in human history because of the world rushing to move assets out of the US due to a titanic shift in risk sentiments because of the world's biggest liquidity provider becoming a threat itself. I pray that it never happens

I think it was the nonvoters fault. One of the top reasons for not voting is "it is too hard to cast a ballot". Here's the truth: your job is probably harder than voting in the most restrictive US state.
38.1% registered USA voters didn't vote during the 2024 election cycle. I truly blame them. The MAGA morons are just plain lost.

If the US invades Greenland, the economy would be the most devastating consequence for Americans regardless of how or whether they voted in 2024.

Many countries would liquidate their US bonds and debt as retaliation. That could send the economy into a tailspin abruptly.

Spoiler: The top reason McDonald's Bosnia failed was the company's leaders failed to pay their rent.

If you don't pay your bills, there will be consequences.
When McDonald's opened in Bosnia in 2013, it was celebrated across the country as a sign the country was moving past its Yugoslav, Soviet aligned past.

But 10 years later, the company closed up everything there.

I was going to the gym and my Uber driver has a smelly car and was listening to a sports podcast kind of loudly on the radio.

I really hate sports. I haven't had a driver like that in a long time.

I think they are idiots.
Then you have the dopes that didn't vote because the Dems weren't progressive enough or whatever stupid shit they're spouting.

Allowing democracy to be destroyed is just as bad as actively destroying.

You weren't offered exactly what you wanted? Oh, I'm sorry. Good luck getting it now.

What we may see unfold with Greenland is proof that all it takes is one bad leader to unravel a country.

There are many examples of this around the world: a democratically elected politician destroying a country's reputation through bad policy.

This is sad but true.

We need to keep what Mamdani ignited going in the primaries for Senate in Texas, Maine, and Michigan.
Americans by capitulating to MAGA to not support trans people. The Democratic party is sliding to the right. They listen to their wealthy donors, they don't listen to their constituents. I hear more and more people saying we have 2 right wing parties so any vote is for a fascist. This falls on dems.

I kind of hope Jasmine Crockett wins the primary to test the argument that more progressive candidates can turn out a base that does not typically vote at all.

Zohran Mamdani did it in NYC, winning voters who didn't ever vote in a primary; some did not even vote for President. Crockett might too.
