My situation has taken a bad turn again. Besides donations, I'm also opening commissions for fics, Manips (I'm no expert & self taught) and friendship bracelets (pictures incoming.)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

UPDATE #4: I'M HOME!! Thank God. I'm tired. I missed my puppy. I missed my bed. And I missed not eating hospital food. Please pray that I never have to come back here, thank you!

It's not *SUPER* serious but it was painful until they realised what it was.

I literally just started School For Good And Evil. I bought it on a whim yesterday in the middle of a mental breakdown (lol) because I had seen the movie on Netflix.

Hey! Hospital people! Small trash cans near the patient's beds will help us have less junk lying around when we can't get up! Sincerely: Someone please come take this pile of used tissues.

Someone tell the elderly that it's ok to not use speakerphone when they have calls and that the whole world doesn't need to know what the other person on the call is saying. I don't care that your grandkids have the sniffles and that cousin Jeff is on vacation.

Also I had another MRI today and the tech lady was super nice and played Taylor Swift for me in the machine. Cruel Summer had just started when they pulled me out and I gave her a word of warning not to play that song with a swiftie in the machine if they DONT want them to move.

UPDATE #3: Mom got moved to another ward because that's her doctor's ward. I had a mental breakdown. It's not a good day folks. Also. Men, why do you sneeze so loud? The guy next to me sneezes like a goddamn bazooka and it scares the shit out of me every time.

UPDATE #2: MOMMA'S IN THE HOUSE! My mother had to be brought to the hospital. Dad found someone to help him out, and they made it so we're in the same ward. He's going to try and put us in the same room. I'm glad I can see her regularly while she's hospitalised. and she's glad she can see me.

Apparently this sort of thing "usually heals on it's own" but what does that mean for me? Will I stay here with the drain while it heals? I don't know. But apparently this is an "uncommon complication for such a common surgery." Lucky me! 2/2

UPDATE #1: it's been a crazy day y'all. The running theory now is that there *IS* a bile leak but they didn't pick it up bc it's not where they'd look for a leak usually The drain is sticking around and I had an MRI today Radiologist & Hepatic specialist will be included to figure out a solution 1/2

That's basically it for now. I'll update further as stuff happens. Thanks for reading this far, if you have! If you want to message me, you can do so. I'd appreciate the company while I pass the time in here. Peace, love, and good health to all of you. Take care of yourselves! ❤️ 33/33

I'm better now. The pain has subsided, and the drain is only a mild inconvenience. My surgeon will see me in the morning, but I'm looking at another 2 days or so here to drain out the fluid. I'm hoping I can have solid food soon. I'm on clear liquids for now. 32/?
bluehoneybee.bsky.social
The doctors who do it are nice and we end up talking and joking around the whole time. When the drain is in, they pump out as much of the fluid as they can to give me a head start...they pumped out over 300ML of fluid. And the drain is still going about 11 hours later. 31/?

Warning: this one's a tad graphic!

By "drain" they mean I need a minor procedure to have a pipe inserted into my abdomen that will take the fluid out and into a catheter bag. 30/?
bluehoneybee.bsky.social
They give me pain meds and something for the nausea and call an ambulance. They examine me and suspect some kind of infection, so they keep me here. My surgeon orders a CT scan and it turns out the fluid increased exponentially. I need a drain. 29/?

I start getting seriously worried, so I wake dad up to take me to the hospital. It takes some time because he has to wake my sister up to stay with mom, but he takes me to the local clinic (same one from the previous week) 28/?

My dog is hanging out with me (safely) and I'm about to climb into bed. Suddenly my left side starts cramping. I call dad to come to my room, he helps me figure out what to do. The pain reduces but only slightly. And it feels different. 27/?
bluehoneybee.bsky.social
I managed to stay with mom for a bit. I get an acid reflux scare, but I manage to fight it off early and we're all good...until that evening. 26/?
bluehoneybee.bsky.social
I'm okay for a couple of days, I get a small episode of pain, I take my meds, I lay in bed for a bit, and I'm good. Then Wednesday comes around. 25/?
bluehoneybee.bsky.social
He straight up lets me choose what meds to take. (He agrees with my reasoning why I think I should have them.) And prescribes me a muscle relaxant, Pregabalin, and Tramadol (one of the strongest opioids you can find afaik) 24/?

Monday rolls around and the pain is BAD. I go to my GP. Dad can't stay with me but it's fine. My turn comes and I walk into his office and tell him that if he can't help me, I don't know who can. I'm on the verge of tears. He calms me down and we discuss the situation. 23/?
bluehoneybee.bsky.social
We try to manage my pain as best as possible. My dad starts dipping into my mom's cancer pain meds (with her blessing and sometimes her own suggestion) but it's just not enough. The only thing I can do is wait till Monday to go to my GP. So I tough out the weekend. 22/?
