The biggest problem with Bari Weiss taking over editing at CBS is that she thinks "journalism" is opinions and editorials. She has no concept of news as fact-based.
This is true of Fox News and most right-wing 'news' orgs.

That's not even a good or compassionate thing. If an American visits another country and they have a health emergency they usually get free health care from that country. They aren't denied health care.

What can we do? Should we arm ourselves? Should we leave and ask for asylum somewhere? This country is becoming too dangerous for anyone to live here, even citizens are being dragged out of their beds in the middle of the night for no reason.
