I tweet about games here

Some games I enjoyed playing in 2025:

1. Contra: Hard Corps (Japan version)

The Japanese version of Hard Corps is much more forgiving- you get a health bar and unlimited continues. I had more fun playing this over the English version. My favorite weapon is Ray's spreadshot. It looks so good.
The Steam app can be bad at times

It feels like Jetpack Cat is the star of this new Overwatch season

Someone on a podcast made a good point about fighting game 2XKO (bad name)- the title should have League of Legends on it. Or maybe call it something else that reminds people that you can play as League characters

The OG God of War on PS2 had some naught bits and I wonder if the remake will keep that stuff. I played the game back in the heyday and got shamed by someone when the naughty scenes were happening lmao

Now that Dino Crisis 1 and 2 is on Steam I'd recommend playing the sequel. I never played Dino Crisis 2 but I have a feeling it's much better than the first game, which I played and find to be underwhelming and overrated

The live service games I've played and seen fail have done one or more of these things

1. it's not fun
2. the in-game shop was sparse
3. unappealing characters
4. started out as a paid game but later switched to free to play
5. the game was released on PC but not on Steam
6. bad first trailer

Castlevania: Bemont's Curse was a nice surprise

Yes, now I see the similarities between RE Requiem and Silence of the Lambs

I like the combat in Horizon Zero Dawn so I'm interested to see this new game. Reminds me of Nightrein and Hades.
The hunt is on.

Lots of exciting stuff coming to Overwatch. The only thing I don't really care for is the expanded story stuff

I've played games where I can have a pet to tag alongside me. One of the better ones is from ReCore. Each robotic pet in ReCore has a unique ability and you can customize the pets with parts too. That was one of the bright spots of a game I enjoyed but had its issues

Yesterday I learned that Darius for the arcade featured 3 monitors!

Some of these vampire survivor likes (the potato bro, the diablo one, the PS1 looking one) looks like it's for me but I won't try any of them. I barely scratched the surface of the original Vampire Survivors which I have sitting idly in my Steam library

Highguard should've been promoted more ahead of its release. More trailers going over its rules and mechanics. Dumping all that info on release day was a choice. It's a brand new IP and a unique type of game that I haven't seen before.

I'm guessing folks are jumping in the game confused as heck

The one thing I don't like about Highguard is how the game feels overall. Reinforcing walls in Rainbow Six Siege is satisfying. Not so much in Highguard. Riding the mounts in Highguard feels flat.

The icons and UI are messy and confusing. One bright spot for Highguard are some of the Wardens

Visiting the Hunter's Dream in Bloodborne never gets old. Love the vibes. I always enjoyed chatting with The Doll.

Fun fact- I didn't know about one of the workshops in the central hub until I discovered it much later in the game lol

Kiln is the most Double Fine ass game

This is what you can expect when you play Fable
January 22, 2026 at 9:21 PM
The last two AAA games I played that gave me bad vibes were Redfall and Skull and Bones. Redfall feels like a very early access game that should not have even shipped in the first place

Sonic's 35th anniversary is coming up so I'll share my experience with Sonic.

First time I saw Sonic was back in the 90s. He was cool, unlike Poochy. Sonic had a great look and starred in an awesome game in Sonic the Hedgehog. Green Hill Zone is still one of the best levels of all time.

I played and finished Bloodborne and wasn't bothered by the game's performance at all

I heard Twisted Pixel Game got shut down today. That's the studio behind Splosion Man. That Xbox game was quite creative and charming

I have lately played some old school JRPGs from the 90s and I don't remember the random encounters popping up so much. Feels like every 2 to 3 seconds they pop up 😅
