Don’t despair about the SCOTUS ruling on universal injunctions. CASA, whose case ended with that ruling, shows the agility and flexibility I recommend my clients cultivate in this era - they pivoted on a dime and redefined their case as a class action suit. This is how you do it!

At Claude Goldenberg’s session at #TESOL25 and he is blowing my mind, talking at length about The American Tradition: Bilingual Education. I knew this to be true, but he laid out all the details. A smaller percentage of children are currently, in 2025, receiving bilingual education than in 1900.

This school is in Chicago. Most schools in Chicago and the burbs have been preparing for ICE agents trying to enter campus. We had a raid in the burbs during the first administration where they locked people in a shopping mall. We have NOT forgotten. Principal Natasha Ortega is my hero tonight!

Kudos and much love to the folks at Hamline. This is how how you do it! Hamline Elementary was one of the schools I visited frequently when I worked for the Civil Rights division at the US DOJ.
