Tonight I finished “Coffin Moon” by @keithrosson.bsky.social. It’s as gritty and action packed as you would hope. Interestingly, this is the third book I’ve read this year that has a “Near Dark” influence (others being “So Thirsty” by @rachelharrison.bsky.social and “Mongrels” by @sgj.bsky.social).

It’s all about cults with L Andrew Cooper’s “Father is Pleased” from @horrificscribs.bsky.social. Read it if you dare.

I’m ready to talk about “The Unworthy” by @agustinabazterrica.bsky.social this Saturday at @ministryofbrewing.bsky.social! There’s a lot to talk about with this book

One of my grabs from @vortexbooksncomics.bsky.social was “God Bomb” by @kitgonzo.bsky.social. A man with a bomb wants answers from God and is willing to take everyone around him to the grave.
November 18, 2025 at 2:09 AM
Made a visit to @vortexbooksncomics.bsky.social today. I’m sad that they’re closing in December because they have a huge selection of horror books, sci-fi/fantasy books, crime books, and comics! If you can make the trip to Columbia, PA, check them out!

Having a vampire night with “Van Helsing One Shot”, created by David Wohl, @anthonyspay.bsky.social, and Jorge Cortes.

Finished “Smile for the Cameras” by Miranda Smith tonight. This was a quintessential vhs-horror movie in book form. Fast paced and meta.
November 14, 2025 at 1:10 AM
Reread “Carmilla” by Sheridan Le Fanu for the Online Bookclub selection. I forgot how seductive the author wrote the main character, especially for the 1800s. Join us on 11/20 at 6:30pm on Discord for the online meetup.

Visited Thrillerdelphia today. Although I aim to stoplight Baltimore and county surrounding stores, I saw a post on IG and decided to make a visit. They have a cool selection of horror/thriller/true crime books, blu-rays/dvds, and horror goods. If you are in Philadelphia, PA, visit them!

What a beautiful day to attend a ribbon cutting for the new Enoch Pratt Johnston Square branch. There are so many options for books, movies, games, and computer stations! This is such a fantastic concept for a library/community center/housing unit and it makes me proud to be a Baltimore resident!
November 10, 2025 at 6:26 PM
Finished “House of Leaves” by @markzdanielewski.bsky.social yesterday. This was a unique take on a “haunted house/presence” story that used multiple angles (pun intended) to tell its tale. It’s a demanding journey but well worth the payoff!
