• is a way of speaking that deserves patience, understanding, and respect - not interruption or "correction"
• is genetic and a neurophysiological difference
• exists in about 1% of the world population
• is NOT caused by fear or anxiety
• varies - it can change from moment to moment, day to day, and week to week
• belongs in ALL spaces
