Today marks 20 years since Ilan Halimi, a 23-yr-old French Jew, was kidnapped by a “gang of barbarians” who believed the anti-Semitic myth that all Jews are wealthy.

In 2006, Ilan was tortured and held for ransom for 24 days before being brutally murdered for one reason only: because he was Jewish.

A man deliberately set fire to the synagogue’s entrance and then performed a Nazi salute—as captured on security footage.
