The house leader for the #UCP thinks that the #UCP MLAs are getting angry phone calls and emails because the #NDP are getting people riled up? Really, it could also be that you've used the NWC to trample on people's rights and cost taxpayers $125M in a failed privatization scheme. #josephschow

The UCP argues recall is being weaponized against policy, not misconduct.

By that logic, the Gondek recall was also weaponized, as it was explicitly against her policies.

The UCP's reaction to the weaponized recall on Gondek?

To make recall easier.

It’s no surprise that over a third of the UCP caucus has recall petitions filed against them. Scandal after scandal has left people exhausted with this government.

How would an MLA know which constituents vote in a provincial elections? This information is privileged only to Elections Alberta.

Also, any elector can initiate a recall, irrelevant of whether they vote. UCP wrote this law.

Wait WHAT?!?

Dale Nally somehow audited the voting records of Albertans and is using that as a metric for who can initiate recall?

And now all of the applicant statements and member statements have been removed from Elections Alberta?

Mr Getson would do well to consider the potential impacts of such lies.

For a sitting MLA to tell the legislature and anyone listening that the Supreme Court of Canada says CSAM is now "OK" puts kids at risk.

He should retract that statement and apologize immediately.

Albertans paid the price for the UCP’s $125 million dollar political experiment with public health care.

Wait times grew, errors increased, and patients suffered from waiting too long for routine appointments and delaying cancer treatment.

If you are an MLA and you voted for a bill that made it easier to recall MLAs with no safeguards then you are either incredibly arrogant or incredibly stupid or both. It is unbelievable that the #UCP MLAs are outraged that people are using recall legislation they created. #angelapitt #daniellesmith

Albertans have had enough of the UCP, and they want change. Alberta's New Democrats are ready.

To recap…

Demetrios incorrectly told people he would be authenticating signatures & can’t sign book bans properly…

Tanya Fir couldn’t hang up a phone WITH HELP & called a constituent a “motherfucker”

And they think that calling their competence into question is unfair?

#AngelaPitt is not in the cabinet. The "back to school" bill was pushed through in one night so the only MLAs who had read it were the cabinet members. So #AngelaPitt voted yes to a bill she hadn't even read yet. How exactly is that representing your constituents?

Nothing is a better example of how arrogant the #ucp is than the fact that both of the MLAs facing recall votes voted for the recall legislation without any safeguards on it. They just assumed nobody would use it against them #demetriosnicolaides #angelapitt #daniellesmith

My insurance paid for my COVID shot so I, in my late 30s, walked into a pharmacy and got the shot for free immediately. My parents, in their late 70s, have to wait until the end of the month and pay $100. Is this really a good policy #daniellesmith and #adrianalagrange?

For those keeping score, the premier:
🔵has already started picking her voters (through voter suppression laws).
🔴wants to choose who can run for office (only "serious" candidates qualify).
⚪️now wants to decide which MLAs deserve to be recalled (and which ones get to keep their seats).
With one of her own ministers telling his constituents the UCP will recall recall, Smith was asked today if there were any plans to do just that...

Her answer?

Not yet, but it depends on whether the signatures are successfully collected.

Bill 202 would:
🚫 Have a zero tolerance policy for gifts from lobbyists
📝 Disclose any gift valued over $100
✅ Implement a code of conduct for senior political staff
🏛️ Restore Albertans' trust in government
No more Skyboxes. It's time for ethical governance
Bill 202 is about ensuring clear rules, stronger oversight, and greater public confidence in how decisions are made.

Danielle Smith is a coward.

She refused to negotiate in good faith with teachers, refused to end this strike by offering a fair deal, and, worst of all, she violated Albertans’ Charter rights without even showing up for debate.
